This conference is aimed towards teachers in their first 5 years of teaching (10 if they currently hold a Federation position) who are interested in broadening their knowledge of the system and state-wide issues that impact teaching and learning in public schools across NSW.
The Conference will engage teachers in learning about various aspects of the school community including – Aboriginal Education, local Federation networks, LGBTIQA+ communities and more. Workshops and session will address skills to build attendees activism, and in engaging other members with important union campaigns and activities.
Teachers will also be participating with colleagues with similar length of experience in the profession and within the broader NSW Teachers Federation network. In doing so they will develop a deeper understanding of the statewide professional network as well as deeper connection with colleagues in a variety of settings from across the state.
