Zero gravity

How many times does a schoolkid ask, what’s it like to live and work in the weightless environment of space? What do astronauts eat? How do they sleep? And how do they go to the bathroom? The Powerhouse Museum’s “Space” exhibition has new displays and the new Zero Gravity Space Lab to experience the illusion of weightlessness. Australian astronaut Dr Andy Thomas and his wife and fellow astronaut Dr Shannon Walker talk about what it’s like to live and work on the International Space Station and answer any question a schoolchild would think of asking about living in space.
